The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful! We had an early flight and they prepared us breakfast the night before since we were going to miss the buffett. Also, we thought it was very smart to have guests to place the food in their room a plastic tupper box, which helps the hotel prevent mice and bug problems that many Amsterdam hotels seem to have. The room was clean, simple, and small, which is exactly what we expected for such a central location. We noticed that they offer a babysitting service for a fee for parents that want a night out together without the kids!

Comfortable bed. Quiet.
Just a simple breakfast. Poor internet in the room.

Perfect location, very friendly and helpful stuff, good breakfast, nice cantina, 24 hours in and out. Ideal when travelling with friends or for young couples (no lift, high staircase). Rooms are small and beds a bit too soft, but we still liked it a lot. If one prefer rather sightseeing than spending time in a hotel room - this is a perfect choice. Defenately would reccomend to other people when visiting Amsterdam.

Perfect location near main museums and Liedsplein. Calm and charming part of city centre is also just a few minutes from hotel. Nice people at reception.
Overall the hotel looks more like good hostel than classical hotel.

Location perfect for Museums, Shopping, Restaurants, Pubs & Clubs etc. 15 min brisk walk to Central Station and downtown (redlight district etc). Trams 1,2 & 5 take you there if you don't fancy walking!. Staff very friendly - family atmosphere, Rooms clean, Hotel very secure, Buffet Breakfasts are substantial for this category of hotels (Cereals, toast, bread with raisins through it (like a hot cross bun), cheeses, ham, boiled eggs, coffee, tea, fruit juices and fruits.
Stayed in a Double room on the top (4th) floor. Stairs very narrow and steep, so quite an effort getting up with suitcases! However this is the same with most of Amsterdam's buildings because of their design. Fantastic view from the window though! Rooms are not massive, but once again are big enough and if you read reviews for other Hotels in this budget, they are larger than most. Walking TO the Hotel from Central station was a bit of an effort on the cobbled streets and took the best part of half an hour (not knowing exactly where we were going and hauling our luggage). Probably best to get some change and jump on the tram to avoid this (1,2 or 5). There's a tourist info near Central Station, ask them how to get to the Hotel!

Can just recommend for a mini-vacation.
Charming hotel, friendly staff, that really took the time to highlight local attractions and interests on a map for us. The convenient location made it easy to explore everything within walking distance or catch a tram right outside the door.
No negatives to mention.

The localization is the best in Amsterdam. Close to Leidsplein and Voldenspak and other attractions
The mattress is terrible and the toillets are too narrow despite the fact the stairs to acces the rooms are for few people due the radical angle.

1. Location ! Centre of the Action. 2. Value for Money - cannot be beat. 3. Easy to get to - 197 bus takes you almost to the door for 5 Euros or so..
The Stairs - No elevator.. Left bags downstairs and carried up what we needed.

Staying here was a delightful surprise with nice touches like free tea and homemade cookies in the lobby that made us feel right at home. We loved relaxing in the cozy lounge and enjoyed the complimentary cheese tasting in the evening. The only little hiccup was the narrow stairs leading to our room, but it didn't take away from our fantastic experience! 😊

Very good breakfast, people are friendly and it's a clean place. Well located, near to most of museos, bars and restaurants. It's worth, I'll probably go there again.
